ABIGAIL PEPPER
I believe public service should be about serving the community rather than party politics or special interests.

I’m running because I’m tired of seeing people boxed into rigid political camps, when in reality we often have far more in common than we’re led to believe. When we move past party labels, we can focus on people—and people are who I want to serve.

I believe we should return to the idea of elected officials as true public servants: leaders who listen, who fight for their neighbors, and who put the needs of their community above personal ambition or political theater.
As Monroe continues to grow, we need leadership focused on our real, local concerns—not fabricated culture wars that serve only to enrage and divide.

However, due to a recent change in state law, independent (unaffiliated) candidates are no longer automatically listed on the ballot.

When access to the ballot is limited, everyday voices risk being left out of the process before Election Day even arrives

If elected, I want to use my position as councilwoman to help you grow your small business. I want to use my platform to ensure your tax dollars are serving your family's needs. I want to work alongside my neighbors to help shape policies that reflect the people who live and work here every day.

I’m grateful you’re here. And if you ever have questions or want to share your concerns about Monroe, my email (abigailformonroe@gmail.com) is always open.

Thank you for helping make our community stronger and keeping Monroe’s ballot open to those who like to color outside of the lines.
