Monroe residents deserve elected officials who show up to do a job, not pick a fight or make a news headline. Too much of the current council's energy has gone toward conflict, posturing, and political theater, instead of solutions. That's not what local government is for. I'm running as unaffiliated because I don't answer to a party, I answer to Monroe residents. Growth is an important part of any city’s long-term economic stability. When done well, it creates opportunity—supporting local jobs, strengthening the tax base, and giving families more choices about where and how they live. In Monroe, growth is not just inevitable; it’s already happening. But growth without intention comes at a cost. Everyone in Monroe deserves the same opportunities to thrive, no matter what neighborhood they live in or what kind of home they can afford.

Public servants should be reachable, accountable, and present throughout their term, not just at election time. Monroe residents should feel empowered to reach out to their leaders when they aren't sure how to get a speed bump installed in their neighborhood, when they see a new development being built, or want to know how to find out when the next Music on Main event is happening.
